About Us

Steve has been DJing for over 15 years and has played at gigs all over Scotland. A long term advocate of the Scottish Hip Hop Scene, he launched the original SSU Blog in 2009 after bringdaruckus.com disappeared as a resource, resolving to continue the good work that Chris Torres was doing at the time. Steve hosted most of the podcasts, audio interviews and live sessions from his studio in Fife.

He then moved on to start his own Company under the name BTN Media where we focused on DJing, Film and Podcasting. 

After around a year of doing the podcast he joined up with website HHHeadz where he does, reviews, features, and runs video and audio podcasts.

Inbetween blogging Steve has been doing smaller campaigns for Artists he's worked with and has built up a fairly steady contact list of people that either play or feature Boom Bap and Underground Hip Hop.
